Elbert Enfield Devore (1880-1971) was the son of William + Catherine Devore. A member of Co B First Infantry. Please review all the info I uncovered while researching Mr. Devore. One of the articles confirms his enlistment, while another tracks him to San Francisco where this photo was taken, most likely in 1902 when he was sent here due to illness. Interesting to note that Elbert wrote as a correspondent for the local newspaper. (see clippings). Devore lived out his life in Bedford PA, as a longtime letter carrier. The photo is in VG condition.
