The Nichicon PW are a long-established and reputable series of capacitors. They have moderately low ESR and are very reliable. They are excellent for use in most applications such as power supplies, monitors/TVs, DVD players, cable boxes, etc. They are popular for audio. This listing sells these capacitors in sets of 10. It is safe to replace a lower rated original, such as a 35V rated cap. Temperature Rating 105°C Polarized Yes - stripe is negative Diameter 5mm Lead Spacing 2.0mm Body Height 11mm Lead Type Radial Endurance 2,000hrs at 105°C This rating is tested by the manufacturer at the maximum rated temperature and ripple current. The endurance of electrolytic capacitors roughly doubles for every 10°C reduction in temperature. At 85°C the estimated endurance would be about 8,000hrs. For comparison, most general purpose capacitors of this size are rated at 1,000-2,000hrs at 85°C. The same scaling continues at lower temperatures. At an operating temperature of 55°C, this size of Nichicon PW would be estimated at 64,000 hours.
