Description: Very scarce RF-6 (n = 11-15) per Simpson’s, the “ROUTE 7309” Natchez River Packet (Steamboat), which ran from New Orleans to Vicksburg (397 miles) on the Mississippi River - handstamps were in use from July, 1858 to spring 1861. This pale blue double-oval measures 37 x 18 mm, struck on a #11, on piece (of cancel tracing), plated as 66L4 in Dr. Carroll Chase’s hand (ex. Dr. Chase, ex. Dr.z Amonette). References: 1.
