This necklace dates from over 50+ years ago. The actual chain link portion of the necklace (excluding the clasp) was manufactured in Italy in the 1970’s. My uncle’s store purchased an entire spools of Italian chains. He would cut and add clasps to make the various necklaces and bracelets his customers desired. This was common practice back then when everything was still handmade. The clasp is an American made class, but the chain was indeed made in Italy, although, it does not bear an Italian stamp…I have no doubt that this is indeed the case…especially for a necklace in this style link… It is what Italy is known for.
