Description: Please see all photos for description. For the most part, the brooch is in good usable condition. There is a slight bend to the frame, which I’ll leave to the new owner to fix at their discretion. As seen in the photos at some point lead was used to reinforce the soft gold medal, which was common practice, even on fine jewelry in those days. Disclosures : All vintage and antique jewelry sold in as is condition. Expect signs of normal wear and tear such as but not limited to; scuffs, scratches, dents, dings, bends, breaks, etc. Testing: I use acid and stone to test metal content as I do not have access to $20,000 XRF technology. Acid is a tried-and-true method though there is a possibility that the metal is not standard purity. An example of this would be an item testing as 14kt, but in fact, being 15kt pure or an item testing as 10kt realizing at 9kt pure. These items are sold as fine jewelry and not for their gold content and though we make every effort to vigorously test for accuracy, we do not accept returns if this is the case. This is also why we provide photos of the test results. Thank you!
