The baking process leaves the cones coated in a natural resin like glaze as the sap is melted and then hardened upon cooling, thereby loosing the original stickiness as well as increasing the longevity of the cone. These cones will last a lifetime if kept out of the elements. They will last years even if left outside. * If you do not wish to have your cone baked, just let me know, and I can send you a fresh cone in its original state.
