Description: Ehon Nezashitakara Vol.3 / 繪本直指寳 三 “Ehon Nezashitakara/ 繪本直指寳" is the sequel to "Ehon Shahōbukuro/絵本冩宝袋" and consists of 9 volumes in 10 books. This series covers a variety of subjects, including the process of sericulture, traditional Chinese children's games, notable sages from China and Japan, immortals, warriors, landscapes, the Eight Views, famous poets, and various plants. Occasionally, it also includes annotations on coloring techniques and other artistic methods. The author and illustrator is ”Tachibana, Morikuni/橘守国,” a mid-Edo period artist. Morikuni studied painting techniques under “Tsurusawa Tanzan/鶴澤探山” and created numerous instructional painting books. He believed that artists should always use a basic instructional book when creating their artwork and made his techniques easy for many people to understand and learn. His instructional books significantly influenced artists not only in his time but also in later generations.
