This is the very rare and collectible First Edition! From 1809 until his death, Marcard was director of the famous Pyrmonter Bad in northern Germany and was the most important bath doctor of the 18th century. After dealing with the English baths, he was the first to give the regulations for cold baths that are still in use today. Condition: Covers are firmly attached with no separation or tearing of gutters/hinges. The lettering on the spine has completely faded. There are 456 pages. Pages are clean and tightly bound with just a tiny amount of very scattered foxing. There is no writing in book, no previous owner names or bookplates. Shows some corner/edge wear and remains in very good condition! Tremendous gift idea! This would make a super addition to any collection!
