Damaged.The "1", "8" and "0" of the date is partially readable while the top of the "2" could be seen. The date was determined due to the design of the Liberty Head plus the position of the "0" below the hair curls. I've compared with as many available online photos of the 1820 (small & large dates) & 1830 large cent coins.
