Description: This 1849 California Gold Indian Head Coin is a rare and valuable addition to any coin collection. The coin is circulated and has a fractional denomination, making it a unique piece for collectors to own. The coin's composition is made of pure gold, and it was minted in California, United States, during the pre-1933 time period. The coin was used to make a pendant for a necklace or bracelet for some reason and whoever did it didn’t do a very good job at not messing up the artwork. The front is in very good condition but as shown in pictures the back has been damaged on the image of the bear. It looks more like discoloration than any sort of damage to the material. I believe a thorough cleaning in a solution will take away most of the undesired markings. This is a very cool piece of California history and if the price of gold continues to rise it will only increase in value.
