Richard Henry Nibbs (1816–1893) was an English painter and book illustrator who specialised in marine art. Nibbs was born in Brighton, Sussex (now East Sussex), England and educated at a school in Worthing (run by the father of watercolourist Henry Tidey). He lived in Brighton throughout his life.PROVENANCE: Published in "The churches of Sussex, etched by R.H. Nibbs, with historical and archæological descriptions by M.A. Lower". First published in 1851, this examples comes from the 2nd edition of 1872. TYPE: Antique etching printed on paper. VERSO: There is a nothing on the reverse side which is blank.
