Description: Offered here is an extremely desirable example of a rare 1857 Flying Eagle small cent. This cent is unique in that it features a reverse that has been clashed with a seated 25C. This clash is described in Snow's reference guide as S8. it is further referenced as FE FE-901 S-8. This coin is stunning in an ANACS EF45 holder. It has been graded as a details coin because of a past cleaning but close inspection shows it to be in wonderful condition. Zoom in on the reverse and you can clearly see the clashing! This is a must have in any Flying Eagle cent collection. Only minted for three years, these are among the hardest cents to find in good condition and the varieties like this clashed error are even more desirable!
