Description: Here's a wonderful patriotic Union Shield oil lamp from the 1860s or 1870s with crude applied finger grip handle....It has 6 large bold embossed Union Shields around the lamp with dots/stars....Hand blown in 3 pc mold...smooth base....clear...round....3 1/4"tall (10 1/4"with burner & chimney).....sparkling attic mint condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean lamp with no haze. Original brass collar has 1870s patent dates and is perfect with no splits or damage. Brass burner also has 1873 patent date. It is also perfect with no damage. Glass chimney is excellent with no chips or damage. It has a smoky appearance, so Im not sure if it was made that way or has a light film of old smoke haze?
