It is from the French journal Le Tour du Monde, Nouveau Journal des Voyages 18, (1868, Deuxieme Semestre) edited by Edouard Charton, a copy of the title page is included for documentation. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single print as shown in the main pic. Le Tour du Monde was published from 1860-1914 and was a popular travel journal sold in bookstores as well as in the kiosks of railroad stations. It was dedicated to travel and exploration ranging from the discovery of the source of the Nile to the conquest of the Poles. This print is from the section on La Manche from the "Voyage en Espagne," by Gustave Dore & Le Baron Davillier . Overall, a beautiful print that would frame up well.Size: The printed area measures 6 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches (16x24cm) on a page measuring 8 by 11 3/4" (20x30cm)Condition: The print is in Very Good to Excellent condition with text on the reverse, very clean on a bright page that would frame up well, see the pics for more on the condition.
