1879 Elgin 18 Size Pocket Watch, 11 Jewels, Beautiful Hunter Case, Just Restored

Description: We have a real nice 1879 Elgin 11 jewels, 18 size stem wind and lever set antique pocket watch with a very fancy gold filled hunter case, recently restored and serviced and in excellent looking & running condition. The Grade 10, Model 3, Class 5 movement has 11 jewels, a safety pinion, a regulator scale, a very intricately engraved balance arm and fancy lettering. It was professionally serviced recently and runs strong. The low serial number is 614571 which dates it to 1879. To set the time, pull the lever near the 5:00 position and turn the crown. The single sunk porcelain enameled dial with Roman numerals is in near mint condition, no damage. The original matching deep blued steel Spade style hands are in fine original condition. The gold plated ornate brass case is in fine condition, has no dents or engravings. I see no maker's mark, may have been scratched off. The glass crystal is in near mint condition. The case looks original to the movement, the hinges are fine and all the covers close tight. The approximate case measurements are 2-1/8 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 5/8 inch thick. The gold plated brass crown is in fine condition, and the gold plated bow is tight and in very good condition. This is a real nice antique timepiece, and one of the nicest ones that you will find. great for your collection & use, or would make a fine gift! (My pictures have some unavoidable shadows, reflections and dust spots that will be cleaned; the watch looks fine in person).
