Includes appropriately 800 photos / illustrations of interiors, exterior architecture, signage, products, and portraits pertaining to institutions, businesses, residences, and other places of interest in New Orleans. Each page has about a 3-5 illustrations. Much of the text pertains to the state of commerce in New Orleans from manufacturing to retail store shops including business models, supply chains, trends, locations, transportation of goods, histories, and the people involved. Measures approximately 12.5" x 10" Original cloth boards w/ a gold leaf stamp design. Inlaid with a red leather relief City of New Orleans seal. Recently re-backed with a new leather spine - matching the original design. Title page next to the flyleaf has some browning and light foxing. Majority of the pages in the book are illustrated on semi-gloss paper and are white / off white with an occasional minor blemish and faint spotty browning near the edges.
