Description: Offered is this antique business letter on letterhead from the Mallory Wheeler Co. of New Haven, Connecticut, well-known maker of locks and other hardware. The handwritten letter addressed to Hardy & Co. of Rome Georgia is dated Dec. 18, 1885 and is a receipt for a check received in payment of several bills. The document is approx. 9 1/4" x 6". It is in good condition overall. It has two holes at the top where it looks as if it was placed on pegs but I see no other holes or tears. The paper has browned, especially along the left side, but the writing is still easily readable. Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!
