About The Philadelphia Museums: The Philadelphia Museums was established by ordinance of the Philadelphia City Councils in 1894 with the object of providing for the educational and economic collections from the World's Columbia Exposition which was held in 1893 in Chicago. It operated the Commercial Museum, and gathered material for scientific, educational, and other museums. Size: The overall dimension is 12" by 9 ¾" and the photograph itself measures 9" by 7 1/4". Condition: The board and photograph are both in very good condition. There is minor edge wear to the board; the photo shows very minor surface marks, which are only visible when you hold the photo at an angle. The image remains vivid and bright.
