Also with comments on them by Joseph Pennell and an essay on the life and writing of Quevedo by Henry Edward Watts. Quevedo was a Spanish nobleman, politician and writer of the Golden Age. Daniel Vierge was a Spanish-born French illustration who revolutionised the reproduction of illustrations.With illustrations throughout the text and an article pasted to the front free endpaper. CONDITION In full vellum binding. Externally, smart with some marks to the spine. There is a bookplate stuck to the front pastedown and an article on the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
