Description: Listed French Artist, Painter and Illustrator, Lucien Metivet (1863-1932) Plate Signed, on lower left, this Incredible Illustration, circa 1895. It is an Original Ink Poster on paper. It depicts Napoleon, dressed in an emperor's finery, in an advertisement for the newest issue of Century magazine (an illustrated monthly magazine first published in the United States in 1881). It has been folded, down the center and across the middle, into 4 quadrants, but is now firmly pressed (not affixed!) against an oak tag board and sealed with a plastic wrap. The colors are still quite vivid!Paper measures approx. 18 1/2 X 23 7/8 and in Very Good Antique condition.Outside measure of the board is 18 3/4 X 24 and is in Good condition with signs of handling around edges.Please carefully examine all images for condition.Apologies for glare or reflection in images due to photographing a large piece under plastic sheet.
