Description: 1895/1896 Massachusetts Benefit Life Insurance Complimentary Stamp Box 1.5 Inch This small (1.5 inch) screw top plastic (possibly bakelite) box was a promotional item given out by businesses for free to store postage stamps in. As a bonus it has a two year calendar on one side while containing the promotional info for the company that issued it on the other side. The calendar on this box was for 1895 and 1896 so it's well over 100 years old.
