Description: 1898-S Barber Quarter, made into a drop for wearing on a chain. Extremely Fine details, cleaned and if I had to guess, possibly silver-washed. This came out of a lot of Barber Coinage recovered from the Philippines, so likely a ground salvaged coin (not sea salvaged in my opinion), having been buried during the Second World War to escape confiscation by the Japanese. Later converted to jewelry use to sell to tourists (?). Offered as a curiosity, for the Barber coin collector who needs "everything". 0421-99 Please Note: We require payment within four days of purchase, unless you contact us for other arrangements in advance of purchase.
