Description: For sale today is a scarce 1899 $2 Silver Certificate known as the "Mini Porthole" or "Agriculture and Mechanics". This is the Fr 257m Mule with the scarce Elliott-Burke signatures on the front and printed with one of the new Frank White back plates. This was a very short print signature of the 24 year run and these Mules are tough to find. This was one of the most intricate and beautiful designs in US currency, and was also the last $2 silver certificate series to be printed. The note grades VG in my opinion. It has honest circulation from buying a lot of goods and services 125 years ago, but is completely intact. It has edge roughness and just plain wear. Please check pics and judge condition for yourself. These have really been moving lately, don't miss this chance to pick up this scarce signature and Mule variety. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
