Description: Hard to find summer cotton dress dates to 1900 or just after, and features a cotton bodice which is boned, lightly lined in white and has all its facetted crystal ball buttons down the front with hand stitched buttonholes, and a waist belt which would be worn under the skirt to keep the bodice tucked in. Nicely darted for that blouson effect, with 3/4 sleeves that have fold up cuffs in white. The skirt has the owner's name inked on the inner band and closes with hook and eye. The skirt also has tucks around the hemline. Very petite at 30 bust, 22 waist with a shoulder width of 12 and bodice length of 17 inches, the skirt is 37 inches long. There are only the most minor spots here and there (one on the bodice, shown) and no underarm stress or staining, so in general excellent condition. This likely would have been worn by a tea house waitress or other retail service, or perhaps as a lightweight summer beach dress. I cannot accept returns due to buyers remorse or poor fit, so please use my measurements provided to assure the fit you are looking for, and ask any questions prior to purchase, thanks!
