First edition. With 9 monochrome plates, each with a tissue-guard. La Vita Nuova is a text by Dante Alighieri originally published in 1294. It is an expression of the medieval genre of courtly love in a prosimetrum style, a combination of both prose and verse. Dante Alighieri 1265-1321, was an Italian poet, writer, and philosopher. His Divine Comedy is widely considered one of the most important poems of the Middle Ages and the greatest literary work in the Italian language. Quarter grey binding on brown hardboards. Bumped and chipped to head and tail of spine. Boards firm, binding, tight, and pages clean. This book is in very good overall condition. 112 pages 23.5 x 15 cm.
