Description: This is an original, museum quality St. Louis Exposition Silver Medal. According to the website of the Smithsonian Museum, it is made of bronze and was created by Artist A. A. Weinmen. It was created for the Louisiana Purchase 100th Anniversary Exposition held in St. Louis in 1904. The medal is in beautiful condition. It comes with its original box as well as the original typed insert that came with the medal that explains how each medal was made who created them. The box has slight wear and tear, consistent with being 120 years old. The paper insert has some yellowing around the edges and a slight tear at the top of the crease, but the typing is still completely legible. Note: the paper insert describes the Silver Medal, which is what is listed here, plus the Gold Medal and the Grand Prize Medal, which are not. Please message with any and all questions!
