NICE (17674) Featured in the 1909 catalog, page 541, outstanding Russell & Erwin mortise lock # 01794 with key! The lock is numbered 01794 inside, brass face and a funky Art Deco pattern on both sides of the mortise box. Have never seen one with this particular pattern on the box before. Completely reconditioned and comes with key. Functions perfectly. Brass faceplate measures 6" long (actually 5 15/16), 1" wide, 1/8" thick, very well made mortise lock! Box is 3 9/16" deep from the back of the front plate and it is 4" top to bottom. Screws are on 5" centers. The backset (the distance from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4". The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion of the key hole) is 2 1/2". Thoroughly tested, cleaned inside and out, very well made, functions perfectly, should be good for another 110 years! Shipping is by USPS Priority with insurance and tracking.
