Description: 1909-S-VDB VF Lincoln Head Cent (Key Date)MY COMMENTS: THE GOOD NEWS: Nice Original Mid-Grade Key Date Coin, Note the VDB on the reverse is a bit weak. It is still very clear and nice to look at but you have to view it at the proper angle to see it best. There are some S-VDB's that exist with the VDB almost missing from being struck from a grease filled die in the VDB area. I've had one certified long ago. This might be one of those coins but struck with less grease than the other coin I had because the other coin was very weak. Nice Chocolate Brown Color. Nice Eye Appeal, Nice Date, Mint Mark & Rims. Nice Hair, Ear & Bow Tie detail. The Wheat Lines on the reverse are full & complete. Many Lincoln Cents will have a stain, odd color, dirt in the details, or some sort of damage due to their heavy use. Not this coin. This is a nice Key Date coin.
