Description: This delicable confection is an Edwardian night dress of the finest feather soft lightweight ivory silk crepe adorned on the short sleeves and the bodice with 'rays' of inset lace in white, each ray showing a rose which is larger or smaller depending on the size of the ray it's in. On top of this line of pointed rays is a ribbon threading to draw in the night dress and gather the front a bit. Above that is a V shaped silk crepe piece which has a sweet line of tiny French pink and green rosette trim, and above that is yet another ribbon threading with dotted net ruffle to finish the neckline. The sleeves are similarly lace-edged and ribboned. The lace is pure white which gives a beautiful contrast to the ivory silk. The original ivory silk ribbon is threaded through each sleeve and around the neckline, and two tiny ivory silk rosettes are on each side of the bodice. Gorgeous! (The pink color you see is a long tank underneath the nightie worn by the model and is not part of the garment, and the blue color is the manikin prior to her paint job.) Measures 40/34/48 with a length of 53 inches. For reference the model is about a size 4 with a 34C bra size.
