Description: Beautiful early 1920s Johns Manville/ Jones speedometer. Marked as Star Model. (Assume from a Star automobile ) These were used on several different brands of automobiles and motorcycles ( Ford to Harley Davidson) in thier day. Stewart Warner acquired the company in 1924 and made similar models with the Stewart Warner logo.( I have seen those near $2k) Being the timing of the Star automobile and Stewart Warner purchase should put this speedometer apx 1922- 1924. Considering its age, its in great condition although not flawless and has not been tested. Face is very clean. The speedo pin is free and turns. This has been stored indoors for many decades.
