Description: The Orange Crush company was formed in 1911, by Clayton Howel and Neil Ward. Mr. Howel was the inventor of the Orange Julep. Mr. Ward joined the company and invented the formula for Orange Crush, which originally had orange pulp in it, and was first known as Ward's Orange Crush. It hasn't had pulp for decades though. It was made to compete with Coca Cola's Fanta Orange. For decades, Orange Crush, with its 3 flavors, was seen in its original Krinkly bottle. In 1980, Crush was sold to Proctor & Gamble; in 1989 P & G sold it to Cadbury Schweppes, and in 2008 spun it off to form the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. On the face of this bottle, is "O-C Beverages", with 7 fl. oz. below. The "O-C" is very rare. On the backside is, "Pat'd July 20, 1920 Orange Crush Co. Bottle". This beehive bottle style and lettering is very rare. This bottle is a Crushy Krinkly design bottle. Sometimes it is called a Beehive bottle. It is bright and beautiful with its bright embossed slug plate. The graphics are very good. On the neck, it has an orange peel effect, as seen in my last picture. This bottle has some case wear on the bottle, but it has no chips or cracks. This bottle was made by the Chattanooga Glass Works, and is 8 3/4" tall, and is dated about 1930 or before. Shipping for this bottle will be only $9.00 anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day Priority mail. If you purchase more of my many asst. bottles, I will ship them FREE with this one.
