The serial number is 2476. Scabbard is NOT included. They were patterned after the Belgian FN M1924 rifle. When the Germans took over the factory they got rid of the muzzle ring and then blued the metal so it was no longer in the white. This one is still in the white and retains its muzzle ring. Overall, this bayonet is in Fair - Good condition, due to the oxidation and finish. The press catch is functional with very stiff spring tension. The pommel and guard are securely fastened to the tang. They have light scrapes, oxidation and some light pitting. The two (2x) screw escutcheons securely fasten the wood grip panels. They have light tool marks with strong slots. It looks like there is a little grease in the slots. The wood grips have light handling marks and scrapes. They have started to darken with age, plus they are a little gritty from storage. The spine, fullers and sides have light oxidation and dried grease. There are no nicks or dings and the blade has its original factory edge. The tip is intact and comes to a sharp straight point. The finish is in the white. The right side guard is marked with "BT3" within a triangle and a serial number on the right side guard "2476". This bayonet will be a great addition to your Yugoslavian rifle, or a bayonet collection in general. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
