Description: Vintage color lithographed fold-out 1930 map of Louisiana, printed more than 90 years ago. This map shows railroads, highways, and canals in the state, and labels cities, towns, and natural features. It was compiled and drawn by the National Geographic Society, Washington, D.C., and published as a supplement to the April 1930 issue of National Geographic Magazine. There is an inset plan of New Orleans, showing the work in progress on the Lake Pontchartrain shoreline, labeling the Old Spanish Trail, and identifying numerous Mississippi River ferry crossings Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with a few minor creases in the margins and no marks, rips, or tears. It is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side. Please see the scans, and feel free to ask any questions. This is an original, National Geographic Society map, not a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be genuine. It folds to 9" x 6¾" and measures 13" x 13" overall. Its compact size would make it easy to mat and frame. We'll include our helpful framing tips for your reference. Buy with confidence!
