This sculpture was artistically rendered by an artist whom spent a lifetime studying the form, style, and movement of animals associated with the Art Deco period. Louis-Albert Carvin (1875-1951) formally studied at École des Beaux-Arts in France. He was given France's Medal of Honor in 1894 and was a member of the Society of French Artists.
