Description: We are offering a pair (2) Sterling Silver candle holders each with depictions of what appears to be the Berlin cathedral with "Souvenir 1936" incised in the base of each. We assume they were purchased during the 1936 Olympics before WWII. The cathedral has rays of light (hope) emanating from the top of the spires - much different than what was about to come. The hallmark on the base reads "830 SN 82". There are two marks before the "830" that we cannot make out. The candle holders are weighted, and the bottom has felt on the plaster(?). The bottom is not silver. If you have any questions, please, contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
