Description: Vehicle Details Up for auction is this totally restored, frame off, ground up, 38 Chey 1/2 ton Pickup. Restored about 5 yrs ago. The truck has its matching numbers. 216 C.I. original 6 cyl. engine that was rebuilt. It starts instantly every time with no smoking ever. It runs excellent - cool and smooth & very responsive. It is very clean under the hood making it look brand new! It has the original 3 spd tranny, & floor shifter. It shifts very smooth, no low gear synchro. It has new aluminum radiator & runs at 180 degrees no matter how hot outside. It handles well going down the road. It cruises nicely at 45-50 mph. The brakes have been redone and work good. The e-brake works as it should. The paint is very nice and shiny. There are no patch panels or bondo. It is all steel with expensive heavy glass rear fenders. Up underneath the truck is rust free with shiny paint too.(see pics) The window glass is all perfect with no cracks, chips or fogging. It has new rubber glass moldings. It has new exhaust, new nice looking wood bed and side racks. Tires are new. Very few miles since restoration. The windshield opens nicely to allow fresh air in. It has newly re-chromed bumpers that are really nice looking. The interior of the truck is also totally restored & looks like new. The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, horn & heater all function properly. Very nice straight grill up front. The box and tailgate are flawless!
