Mercury Silver Dimes - Background & Design: Weinman’s design featured on the obverse a young woman wearing a cap with wings on her head. On the reverse the dime had a bundle of sticks with an axe blade all tied together with straps, making the ancient symbol of a fasces, which was surrounded by an olive branch. Mercury Dime Grading Scale & Guidelines: As understood and in relation to condition notes and guidelines, a mercury dime in "Extremely Fine" condition typically shows minor, slight, noticeable wear on the highest parts of the coin.
