Description: This rare 1944 Lincoln Penny appears to be struck upon a 1944 Mercury Dime. It is a unique find for any coin collector. The coin has a double denomination and weighs 1.9g. It features an error and is circulated, making it an excellent addition to any collection. The coin was minted in the United States and has not been certified. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this piece of history. I can see the Lincoln obverse & reverse, and I can see the Mercury obverse, but my eyes/illness makes it difficult to focus and discern/confirm Mercury reverse. This coin is NOT steel. My scale is not high end, but it does appear to weigh multiples & variety accurately and consistently. The most variance it registers is .1, but that is usually do to centering, and multiple measurements yield this coin at 1.9 grams. An eBay Buyer/Seller messaged me and asked me where the silver from the dime went. I responded that I have no idea about the metal composition (other than proving not Steel), and I am uncertain if the low weight is related to a missing clad. The weight variance does not appear to be related to circulation, as there are no noticeable gouges or clips. Seller FYI: I have severe spinal injuries and long covid complications that cause tremors, spasms, high pain/numbness, vision change and more. This makes focusing/photographing very difficult/problematic. I am happy to re-photograph or video any listings. I am also available for any questions or feedback. If I have listed a coin, I have determined there to be increased value, numastically and historically. I (usually) do not make online notes of variations or errors; even when, I observe them or record them in my collectors' books/sleeves. I do not list errors or variations in Titles or Descriptions because I may be making a visual or cognitive mistake (post spinal injuries and covid have my noodle a little overdone). I DO stand behind all sales. I do not make any alterations to items or photographs. I DO offer refunds, always. I DO want my buyers satisfied or memorably enjoying their purchase! All sales benefit/forward 10% of total sales to the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center / Charity, benefitting Indigenous Women and Children, via eBay's Paypal. I figured they should benefit forward, as I try to benefit forward. Especially since it is tied to selling US coins...Many Thanks!
