Framed: 28"H x 22"W Aage Sikker Hansen (1897 - 1955), Danish artist. He was a painter, and then in 1916 trained as a lithographer. He was self-taught as an artist. He was accounted by Politiken's Sunday supplement magazine in 1932. He developed a round and soft line style that highlights the character's forms and a sensual, sweet atmosphere in depictions of women and children . His lithographs with these designs won wide popularity. From 1930 on he made a variety of posters including the classic "Davre-Groats" (1945) which is pictured here.
