Description: Payment | Shipping | Policies 1950s George Nelson For Herman Miller Table Lamp With Glass Top & Single Drawer Very scarce George Nelson/Herman Miller side table, with original lamp and shade. Made of walnut with block legs. Removable glass top over a deep shelf. Below is a large drawer with a "J" pull. The secondary wood on the drawer is solid oak. The piece does not have its original label inside the drawer. Brushed aluminum rod and round fitting for the circular tube light. Switch on the top surface next to the stem. Open back for easy access to the wiring. Measurements: The base is 34" deep, 18" wide and 22.25" tall. To the top of the shade: 43.5". The shade measures 18" across and 3.5" high. The finish is in exceptional original condition. There are a few minor marks on the top edge next to the glass, extremely minor. The glass has some scratching and a small chip at one corner (this is hidden by the metal sleeve the glass slides into) so it is not visible. The lamp works perfectly- the switch is a little soft when switched, and new wiring would be good, as this is all original, but it works just find. The shade is original, and has a two small gaps at the taped join where the side meets the top. An extremely scarce piece by famed George Nelson/Herman Miller. Shipping is FREE in the USA.
