Description: It is a Shure microphone, model DY-12. According to the Shure website, it is the same microphone as the 55S. (https://service.shure.com/s/article/dy12-microphone?language=en_US). I'm reasonably guessing it's from about the 1950s, but maybe it's 1940s. It was made with a three-pin output jack that isn't used anymore. I believe it is technically called a91MC3M jack. I bought a three-pin to modern XLR adapter for it from bluetraderbob. The adapter likely works, but the lock ring doesn't really lock it onto the microphone. Regardless, it does not work. I have done no work on it. It is being sold as a repair project. It comes with a 20' cable that has that old three-pin jacks on it. The insulation on the cable is starting to crumble a little. It does not have a case, but it will be well-wrapped with plenty of bubble wrap for shipping. It's an uncommon Shure model that looks like one of the old classic Elvis microphones.
