This took place during the 1954 World Series at Polo Grounds against the Cleveland Indians. "The Catch" occurred during Game 1 of this series, when Giants center fielder Willie Mays snared a long drive by Vic Wertz near the outfield wall with his back to the infield. The Giants swept the Series in four games to win their first championship since 1933. This photo has been Authenticated and Encapsulated by PSA DNA as a Type 4 vintage photo.
