This is needed when converting to 605 or 500 series power steering You will have to switch the guts from your original column to this column. All questions welcomed this kit allows you to run your original automatic column with a GM 500, 600, or 605 series conversion power steering box. Features an improved shift lever design and added clearance at the firewall.Includes new tube, shaft, and floor plate. Accepts 3/4" DD rag joint.This column is 3 1/2" shorter than stock. The overall housing length from the top of the turn signal housing down to the end of the column housing is 29-1/8".Steering shaft included is 32" long.
