Description: This auction is for a photo of JACK MERKEL's A/Gas Supercharged 1933 Willys Coupe in the Pits at the 1965 NHRA U.S. NATIONALS,held at Indianapolis Raceway Park (INDY) . Jack pulled the upset of the Meet,beating the favored Willys of "Ohio George" Montgomery . Jack's car was powered by a smaller 364" Small Block Chevy Motor. He was defeated by Class Winner Doug "Cookie" Cook in the Stone Woods & Cook Willys . Sadly Jack passed away in January,2018 . This 4" x 6" photo is made from my original dated SEPT 1965 on Premium Photo Paper. The WATERMARK will not appear in the photo. Great look back into Drag Racing History.
