1964 Rolex Submariner 5513 TRUE TOOL with GILT dial Cal. 1530 RARE

Description: Up for sale is a remarkable vintage Rolex 5513, dating back to 1964. This exquisite timepiece features an original tropicalized GILT dial with a striking patina that adds to its unique character and vintage charm. I acquired this watch from a dealer who purchased it from an estate. The watch initially arrived without a bezel and with incorrect hands. I have carefully cleaned the case and crystal and sourced a correct set of vintage 5513 hands. I recently sourced the pictured bezel on ebay, although I am unsure of its history and I don’t believe the insert is original. For that reason, I am including a NOS insert in its original packaging, giving you the option to choose your preferred insert. The watch currently runs well within +/- 30 seconds a day, but it could benefit from a service to bring it back into spec. The movement seems to be missing one plate screw, which does not impact wear but can be easily replaced during servicing. The case shows wear consistent with a tool watch used/worn for decades as such and has seen some polishing in the past, but it still looks nice on the wrist. The serial number, which is in the 1.07 million range, is a little hard to make out but was discernible under high magnification. This Rolex 5513 is a classic model and a must-have in any collection. These original gilt examples are very hard to find, making this watch a rare and valuable addition for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
