1965 Fender Mustang Vintage American Natural with Hardshell Case

Description: 1965 Fender Mustang The serial number is "L58681" which dates to early 1965. The neck is dated to January 1965, the pickups date to February 1965 and the pots date to December 1964. The original white finish was removed many years ago and a light clearcoat was applied to the natural wood. Fender always painted the student models with solid colors, so they never matched up the wood grain. This one actually looks pretty nice as a natural with the dark piece in the middle and lighter ones on the edges!The body is in good condition overall, but has some dings, scratches, and scuffs. Nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage guitar and no cracks or structural issues.It's been re-fretted in the past and the frets show only light wear. It's in excellent playing condition and has no major issues. The fretboard is clean and the back of the neck has some finish loss, but no major dings or gouges. The headstock has small nicks around the edges but no cracks, repairs or extra holes. The decal is original but the headstock was over-sprayed (most likely the back of the neck also). The nut is 1.51" wide, the neck measures 0.78" thick at the 1st fret and 0.97" thick at the 12th fret.The hardware and electronics are in excellent working condition. The pickups measure 6.57 Ω (Bridge) and 5.96 Ω (Neck). Everything is original except for the switches. It comes in a late 70's hardshell case which has some general wear on the outside. All of the latches, hinges and handle are in excellent working order and the interior has no bad odors.Actual weight for the guitar is 7 lbs 1 oz.Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing. I have played it and everything is great as far as I'm concerned, but you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenance to get it to your preferences.I list some of my items on both eBay and Reverb.
