Description: Large-format fold-out 1966 road map of Gainesville and Alachua County, Florida, printed more than 54 years ago. The map opens to 18¼" x 29" and has good detail on old street and highway alignments. The city map is on one side and shows schools, railroads, the John R. Alison Airport, Sunland Training Center, Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, V.A. Hospital, and the University of Florida. The Alachua County map is on the other side, with a legend key to city, county, and state offices. Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with minor wear on a couple of fold corners and no marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. It was prepared by the Perry C. McGriff Company, 313 East University Avenue, Gainesville and is dated April 14, 1966.
