1970 VINTAGE ODD RODS SILLY CYCLES CARD #2 SUPER COP FAN ART VARIANT VERY RARE

Description: Donruss Original Silly Cycles Trading Card/Sticker - 1970 Card #2 - Super Cop FAN ART VARIANT - EXTREMELY RARE! For your viewing pleasure is very nice Original Silly Cycles Trading Card #2, Super Cop, with the EXTREMELY RARE Fan Art on the back, by Robert Jennum, Omaha, Nebraska. This variant set was issued by Donruss, in 1970, in response to an advertisement for Fan Art, on one version of Donruss' Green Silly Cycle wrappers. I have included a picture of the wrapper, for reference. However, it is NOT part of this auction - only the Silly Cycle, with Fan Art Card. This set must have had a very, very, limited run, as these variants are Extremely Rare. Donruss did use the extra Fan Art on their follow-on Oddest Odd Rod series, which continued the numbering from 67 to 132, and had a much longer print run. This card is in Excellent condition - Please see the pictures for the details. SOME BACKGROUND Unfortunately, there is not a lot of information published about the history of the Odd Rods - certainly not as much as say, Wacky Packages. Donruss issued the original Odd Rods in 1969, and due to their popularity, followed up with several other sets - including these Silly Cycles, in 1970; 1. Odder Odd Rods - 1970. Numbered 1 thru 66. Brand new set of Monsters/Fiends in cars/trucks.8. Fiends and Machines - 19??. 33 Fiends (1-33) - all of which could be aligned on top of the machines (34-66).
