This one, the prize of the collection, is an empty Jack Daniels Old No. 7 half-gallon Maxwell House whiskey decanter complete with the original "The Story of the Maxwell House Bottle" booklet. The original special bottle was designed by Jack Daniel’s nephew for the famed Maxwell House Hotel’s famous Oak Bar in Nashville, Tennessee. The Hotel was famous for more than just its coffee, and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey was the exclusive whiskey served by this grand hotel. Jack Daniel’s produced this half-gallon reproduction of the original bottle in 1971. The bottle is 13”high and in excellent shape with no chips or cracks in the glass. Also, the original booklet, "The Story of the Maxwell House Bottle", which is rarely found still with the bottle, is slightly yellowed with age but completely intact.
