The Water Moccasin is a medium-sized attack boat driven by a powerful Destro V-12 air fan engine. It's fast, quiet, and packs quite a punch.Usually piloted about by Copperhead or other aquatically inclined Cobra goons, the Water Moccasin has these capabilities: Body Armor: the Water Moccasin's hull is built from a boron-epoxy composite to form a proper, military-grade hull. This heavy duty construction provides it the Body and Protection scores listed above, and makes it considerably resistant to enemy damage. Cobra-band Radio: Cobra gear uses a communication system of its own, not beholden to conventional broadcast standards. The Water Moccasin in particular has comm gear with a Typical range (250 miles), and benefits from excellent ranked signal encryption as well. Destructor Cannons: these two 44mm guns are each mounted flanking the Water Moccasin's cockpit; one port and one starboard. They can each be fired to inflict excellent shooting damage each, or fired simultaneously to inflict absolute destruction. DES-20b Machine Guns: these twinned 20mm cannons inflict excellent shooting damage in a short burst, raised when fired fully automatic. The difference between them and the Destructors, though, is that they're on a pivoting and rotating ring turret. Exterior Crew Decks: though the Water Moccasin primarily seats two (the pilot and the gunner), it can also carry several additional folks as is necessary. It can do this on two rear-mounted panels, though these hangers-on don't benefit from the Protection listed above. Gator Torpedo: mounted on the bottom of the Water Moccasin is a small, remote-guided torpedo. This small vehicle is propelled by a water jet and can rapidly strike other boats with ease, thanks to its high speed operation. PILOT COPPERHEAD He has good joints, some paint wear or paint rubs, New O-ring and no screw rust. Appearance: blue-green helmet, vest, and pants; light green trim on helmet and pants; light-green armbands and gloves; black holsters, belt and boots. Really good silver chest emblem, but not mint. Accessories: I have included a custom aftermarket silver chromed assault Ripper saw rifle, a black hook sword, a Night Viper backpack and the figure stand pictured is included. It is presumed that Copperhead is native to or otherwise intimately familiar with the Florida Everglades. Intelligence sources venture a guess that he raced speedboats in high stakes races in Monaco and Japan. His major weakness is gambling. Odds are that he got started by placing bets on his own races. Apparently he compounded his folly by selling his services to COBRA in hopes of paying off his bookies. Gung-Ho says: "Sure. I know the type. They're all around the Gulf Coast. Trash. Drifters. They can drive a swamp buggy like the devil himself, rebuild a V-8 with a coat hanger and spit, fight all night and raise cain 'til the cock crows. They got a heart fulla gimme and a mouth full o' much obliged . . . ." Though not much is known about the man known as Copperhead, he is believed to be native to or grew up in Florida (his accent is enough evidence alone to indicate that), spending much of his time in the Everglades. He became a swamp buggy and boat mechanic from an early age, and intelligence sources say that he raced speedboats in high stakes races in Monaco and Japan. His weakness for gambling first began when he bet on his own races, and Copperhead eventually found himself deep in debt to a number of bookies. When he sold his services to Cobra it was to help pay off his gambling debts. He worked with Cobra for years, mostly behind the scenes as a boat and swamp vehicle mechanic. It is also rumored that Copperhead had some dealings with the Dreadnoks in the past, partly due to his familiarity with their adopted home in the swamps of Florida. Copperhead left Cobra when he could finally pay off his debts, but in the years after Cobra was broken up by a unified attack from international forces, he returned to his old vices and was soon again in debt. When Cobra returned in 2001, Copperhead was glad to answer Cobra Commander's call, this time to head up his naval forces. Copperhead later joined Cobra in its battle against the forces of a revived Serpentor on Cobra Island, and began seeing to the security of the Island's shoreline once Cobra regained control of it. He tried to stop the Joe infiltrator Barrel Roll from escaping from Cobra Island before the team of Joes rescued him. More than a year later, Cobra Commander infiltrated the White House, replacing and posing as Chief of Staff Garret Freedlowe. Working closely with the President, "Freedlowe" created a new team called the Phoenix Guard, which he intended to use to destroy and take the place of G.I. Joe. The team's roster was made up of former Cobra agents using false identities. Copperhead joined the group in the guise of a Navy SEAL code-named High Tide. GUNNER LANARD He has good joints, some paint wear or paint rubs, New O-ring and no screw rust. Accessories: a 1982 gray Stalker style assault rifle and the figure stand pictured is included. Lanard Toys was founded in 1978 and based in Hong-Kong, although they have design centers in Europe and the U.S.A. Even if they were founded in 1978, almost nothing is known of this company before 1986, the year in which they started their production of “the Corps!” line. This line was previously known as “Gung-Ho!”, but due to a lawsuit from Hasbro in 1988, “Gung-Ho!” became “the Corps!”. During many years, “the Corps!” was the only toy line available in their catalog. This line was very profitable, even after the disappearance of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe in 1994, because Lanard developed itself to a big toy company, multiplying the number of toy lines while improving the quality of their products. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- LISTING DETAILS:I Combine Shipping by starting with the HIGHEST SH QUOTE; it is then an additional $1.00 Per Figure.
